Chalet fan from childhood, avid reader of early girls' school and college fiction, though not much of a collector now that I'm living in Ireland, where titles are rather thin on the ground!  Recent toe-dipper into the water of writing fan-fic :-)

Am of the firm opinion that the CBB is probably the nicest place on the web!

The Winds Begin To Sing by Finn Rated: General starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 194]

The sequel to Tea and Militancy. Susie has gone from Tiernsee and her friends have no clear picture what has happened to her. Meanwhile Tristan Denny is suffering in more ways than just from a broken heart.

Did not see that one coming!

Finn, that's a nice big spoon you're using to stir the pot, isn't it? :-)

Author's Response:

You love it! ;-) :-P

Continues straight on from Part 1. Cecily is continuing to grow up along with her friends but will something happen that causes them all to grow up quicker than anyone expected.

I'm not usually in favour of people being engaged before they leave school (yes, Len Maynard, I'm looking at you!), but this is so lovely, and Cecily and John are so perfect for each other!  That was a very touching proposal scene, and I'm glad Joey's reaction was so positive and supportive.

Yaay for Mrs Gilchrist!  Mind you, Cecily and John have earned that trust with their mature behaviour, IMO :-)

Thank you, I'm loving this story.

I guessed who it when he explained why he'd stuck his head out the window!  He comes across far nicer in your story than I've been led to believe he did in real life.  He's one of my favourite poets, so I'm glad it was Grizel who got to meet him, and not the unsquashable Joey :-)
