Yay for a happy ending despite a few problems with the nappy service & Mrs Pond being away.
Thanks Myth Tree. This has been lovely, despite all the ups and downs Cecily went through. Looking forward to Part 2 when you start. :-D

I'm very pleased that Cecily escaped any belated medical complications. Nice that her parents allowed John's sisters to be the first visitors after Stephen, Beth and Con rather than themselves or any of the other Maynards. Lovely to watch them settling down into family life - despite all the broken nights and chaotic days, those first smiles are their reward, as is John's acknowledgement that this, now, is his family. Sad news about Wilmot though; Gwynnedd will have her hands full as the forgetfulness increases - I know! But good that they can still enjoy good times together, long may that continue.
Thanks, Myth Tree - I'll be looking forward to the next part when you are ready to start posting.

So glad they are settled happily now after all the ups and downs. Especially good for John, after his unhappy relationship with his mother, hope she's not going to appear and make things difficult! Thanks for this, and for posting so regularly, look forward to the next part soon!

Glad that all appears well with Cecily, but am thankful the midwives and doctors at Greybrookes will keep a close eye on her for the next 48 hours just to be sure. Please let it all go smoothly for her for once!! I can imagine the sensation John caused with his announcement at the party - glad that Beth and Stephen were near the door when John arrived with Con, and Jo not far behind, so they all got the news first.

Am really glad everything is okay for Cecily and the babies. They deserve something nice to happen to them especially after the miscarriage.
i've just spent the last couple of weeks reading this and then went back and read all the drabbles relating to Cecily. I loved all of them and couldn't put them down. Thanks. I can't wait to read more.

Yes, the birth may have been quick and relatively easy, and I'm thrilled that the twins are clearly full term and well. Nice to see Con in action there, too. However, I hope that the very cursory check that Nurse Poulter and that very inexperienced junior doctor have given Cecily - who should never have been sent to A&E in the first place, but been taken directly to either the Maternity or Obs/Gyny unit - doesn't mean that they have missed something important - knowing Cecily's "luck" I fear that they will have done! I just hope the maternity home staff remain alert.. But please let Cecily enjoy at least a little time with her babies before any problems arise, surely she deserves that!!

So nurse Poulter is still causing problems. I hope the doctors are availble when Cecily arrives at the Maternity hospital. Cecily should not have been seen by A&E but sent start to the Maternity ward, she needed to be seen by an obs and gyne specialist not a junior house officer in A&E with no obs., experience.
