Beautiful exchange between Nell and Sarah, and a perfect change of tone to Susie "pulling her socks up".
Am not surprised this one of the most read drabbles. Wonders how to find the list ....
Thanks for such a nice comment!
If you look in the Top Tens, on the top right of the menu above, you'll find it.

Is it wrong to say that I was pleased that Matron Wilson is now out of the way?
Love the way you've written the younger girls at the end, especially Rafaella's wisdom.
Glad you like them! They do write themselves, particularly Rafaela. I'm not entirely sure where that specimen of sin came from!

What a stroke of luck for Susie. I'mn glad she doesn't have to tell Madame in a way, but it's not the most ideal of situations to be so happy in.
Thanks Finn :-D
Not ideal, no. Susie's too relieved at the moment to think of that, though.

Fabulous update! Poor Susie, trying to decide exactly how to tell Madge what was going on (although I couldn't help giggling a little bit at her conversation with herself).
I'm glad you liked it! It made me giggle a bit too...

Hehe! I like loads of bits of this update! Nell telling Susie she's ready for more, Susie's worrying how to say it - but best of all the end with Raphaella and the others !!! Lol lol lol.
Glad you enjoyed it :)

Thanks Finn. I am curious to see if Susie will be able to leave Evelyn at Easter. Poor kid, she will miss tristain and Susie if they're both away
She will. We shall have to see what they do about her :)
Thanks for the review

You make dying sound like the sensible thing for all adults to do! Thankyou for a nice update; it was lovely to see Mollie's excitement. I just hope that they find Nico without any bother!
Well, it's an obvious thing for all adults to do...

Given EBD's muddles around the Maynard family, I don't think there's any problem with your timeline!
Lovely update. I was laughing at Mollie's excitement and all the knitting.
Re. timelines, I refer you to my lengthy response to Abi's comment! :D
Thank you for the comment. Much appreciated!

I have no idea about timelines, so am firmly convinced that yours is perfectly correct! I do hope Nico hasn't got himself into too much trouble, though.
Thank you for updating!
Mine certainly works, at least as far as 1930 or so. School set up in 1925 (the date of the publication of School at), up to the Passion Play at Oberammagau in 1930. It's only when you then realise that Joey is supposed to be 18 or something in 1938 that it goes a bit wonky, but as I only had the first seven books for many many years I didn't realise this fact. As it is, I conceived of and started (mentally) writing this story in the 1920s before I'd read any of the later books or joined the CBB, so I had no idea how awkward the timelines became later on! So it's irretrievably set in the 20s and I can't see Susie any other way...
I wasn't helped by the illustrations in my hardbacks which have Joey and the Robin wearing classically 20s frocks with lovely dropped waists, and Madge even looking a bit 20s. So I maintain that I'm right, and that Joey was a lot older when she married Jack, and...well, EBD's just wrong! Anyway, this story won't get up to 1938 so it won't cause problems either way.

Where had Nico disappeared to??? Hope no one give the surprise away to Susie.
Thanks Finn :-D
Thank you for the comment! Ah yes, the magically disappearing Nico. I'm sure he'll turn up in one piece...

Ugh. What a horrible man Evelyn's father must be. I hope Susie and Tristan can help her; she needs someone who can.
Thanks for the update!
Thank you for the comment! Some good will come of it, I'm sure...
Date: 11 Dec 2011 10:36 pm Title: Evelyn's letter
I'm really pleased that Evelyn is going to get to spend the holidays with people that she likes, but what a nasty letter. *prod Evelyn's father* I do hope that Susie and Tristan can help! (Goodness, they sound like some sort of superhero team...)
Thankyou for the update!
They sound like it because they are! He sings rude songs at people while she draws them in unflattering poses and publishes them in magazines...
Thanks for the comment!

Oh, I'm glad Susie is taking up Evelyn's cause, and glad she is going to help.
Thank you as ever, I still love this story!
Thank you for your comment! Susie is bound to do some good, don't you think?
Date: 11 Dec 2011 5:17 pm Title: Evelyn's letter
I did wonder if Evelyn's nervousness may be due to something like this. The poor child... and the poor father who probably has no idea how badly he's damaging her.
Thank you for your comment, Amira! Very nice to see you. Yes, poor Evelyn. But she has Susie and Tristan on her side now...who could go wrong? :D
Date: 09 Dec 2011 10:23 pm Title: An evening out
lol, I like this update, thank you ! You have some great chemistry between Sarah and Susie there... *waves tentative Sarah / Susie flag even though know there is no point :D *
Honestly, we've finally weaned you off Matty/Tristan flags and now you're waving Sarah/Susie ones! Put it away, you'll have someone's eye out!

Teehee, I do love delving in Madame Denny's wardrobe now and again! Although I have to say that Tristan has taken on a whole new aspect in my mind, because the line about him bowing just made me picture Alan Rickman's Snape...
That was a sweet update! Well. Sort of. Thankyou!
"made me picture Alan Rickman's Snape"
Um. *boggles* Why, dare I ask?
Thanks for the comment! Glad you appreciated the peep into the wardrobe...all based on a true story!

Hmm, I wonder if he did hear anything...this is a really nice little scene, but your suggestion that this is a 'gentle interlude' is making me rather anxious about what might come next...
So much mistrust...thanks for the comment though!
